Plan for the party!

Are you planning (even loosely) to run the 2010 Austin Marathon or Half Marathon, or know other people who are?

If so, make sure to attend the Austin Marathon Kickoff Party this Saturday, August 8, at Rogue. Things will get started at 9am (convenient for many of you who will already be here!) with free breakfast and coffee. Registered dietitian Amy Culp will then discuss fueling for performance and offering samples of various electrolyte and recovery beverages to attendees.

She will be followed by Cassidy Phillips, CEO and founder of Trigger Point Performance, who will conduct a SMRT CORE seminar and demonstrate his revolutionary new foam roller, The Grid. He will take you through an exciting, challenging sequence of myofascial release and core strengthening techniques, indispensable tools for successful marathon running. Those of you who are already Trigger Point devotees definitely won’t want to miss this!

Representatives from the Austin Marathon will also be here with all of the information you need for 2010 while Rogue will have coaches on hand to tell you about our upcoming marathon/half marathon training programs that are sure to get you healthy, confident and across the finish line!

As an added bonus, not only will representatives from Brooks be here with giveaways and information, but Rogue Equipment will be offering deep discounts on all Brooks products, specifically for attendees. We’ll wrap things up by noon, so don’t be late!
