Overtraining or undereating?

These are the two major causes of fatigue and decreased performance in endurance athletes. While the majority of Americans indisputably take in too many calories, many competitive endurance athletes have exactly the opposite problem: they simply do not eat enough to fuel the amount of work they are demanding of their bodies.

PoweringMuscles.com posted an interesting article and case study on the topic – while it does focus on triathletes, the information is applicable to runners as well, especially those putting in the high mileage.
