Amazing discovery, or mental tricks?

The New York Times has published an article regarding a study suggesting that simply tasting carbohydrates has the same energy-replenishing effect as actually ingesting them during exercise.

It seems like a stretch, but some scientists insist that it works. What do you think? Would you even be willing to test it out? Comment with your thoughts!

  1. I think it’s legit. I’ve tried it a few times & also recommend it to those who get sick/cramps from drinking too much during a run. If you could get it dialed in, it would prove to be very helpful.
